Diana von Cranach of Puri Ganesha Villas, Bali together with the owners of L'ÉLÉPHANT RESTAURANT in Luang Prabang, Laos have opened L'ÉLÉPHANT VERT, one of the first ethno botanical "living" cuisine restaurant in Southeast Asia.

With Lao cuisine focusing on raw vegetable, leaves & herb ingredients as well as meat and fish, it was a logical conclusion to open a restaurant with a menu concentrating solely on the botanical aspect of local food!

L'ÉLÉPHANT VERT will serve Diana's unique kind of "rawfully good" vegan food with purely Southeast Asian flavors, offering a very different dining experience. Her dishes are prepared so that important enzymes and nutrients are not destroyed by cooking.

Because I'm sensitive...

The idea is simply to help people having special diets and sensibilities to have a dedicated space to share the good addresses.

All Lao restaurants that can provide No Added MSG meals can pretend to be listed especially for special veggies who need to find out the few places in Laos.

Too much for children in Laos...

It need to be say: a little bit is not so much a problem, even if it can be on very sensitive or allergic persons.

For info, MSG is banned in Europe for milk, chocolate bars, and more globally on children's food; in USA the industry banned itself late 60's. Probably for more reasons than we actually know... not so many studies on the controversial MSG have been published so far...
